Launch review noticeThis marketplace agreement reflects the current product design. It must be reviewed by qualified Nigerian legal counsel before public launch.

1. The TailorConnect service

TailorConnect is a technology marketplace that helps customers discover eligible tailors, request alteration services, make protected payments, and follow pickup and delivery progress. Tailors use the platform to receive eligible requests, manage assigned work, and receive approved payouts.

TailorConnect is not the tailor, customer, rider, bank, or payment processor. We operate the platform, matching, payment coordination, safety controls, and support process, but independent providers remain responsible for their own lawful conduct and service quality.

2. Accounts, eligibility, and verification

  • Account information must be accurate, current, and belong to you.
  • You must protect your password, OTPs, and device access.
  • Tailors and riders may need to complete identity, skill, business, guarantor, or other verification before receiving work.
  • Verification does not guarantee future availability, quality, or acceptance of every request.
  • You may not transfer an account, impersonate another person, or create accounts to avoid restrictions.

Tailors must contact support to request a verified business-location change. Customers can manage their own saved pickup addresses through the app.

3. Requests, matching, and booking

The customer selects an address, clothing type, alteration, delivery speed, and reference photos. TailorConnect generates a server-validated estimate and ranks eligible tailors using factors such as service area, availability, skill match, active workload, reliability, rating, and fair distribution of opportunities.

A candidate preview is temporary and does not guarantee a booking. After a customer selects “Book Tailor”, the tailor receives a timed offer. If the tailor declines, becomes unavailable, reaches capacity, or does not respond before the offer expires, matching may continue with another eligible tailor.

A customer must not submit false, unlawful, unsafe, or misleading requests. Tailors must not accept work they cannot reasonably complete.

4. Pricing, fees, payment, and escrow

The app displays an estimate before the customer books. The total may include the alteration fee, pickup and return delivery estimate, optional express-delivery charge, and any disclosed platform fee. Prices can vary by garment, alteration, delivery selection, and current admin-approved settings.

A booking is not paid merely because the app shows a success screen. Payment is recognized only after the selected payment provider is verified server-side and the reference, amount, currency, and status match the order.

Paid funds are held in a protected platform workflow and are not treated as available tailor earnings until the order reaches an eligible release state. Open disputes pause automatic release.

5. Pickup, delivery, and order completion

Assigned riders receive only the information needed for authorized pickup and delivery. Customers receive order-status updates rather than a rider’s private personal details.

When delivery to the customer is confirmed, the current service design starts a six-hour review period. During that period, the customer can confirm delivery or report an issue. If no issue is reported before the deadline, an undisputed order may complete automatically and begin the controlled fund-release process.

Delivery timing is an estimate. Weather, customer availability, rider availability, safety events, force majeure, and other circumstances can cause delays.

6. Cancellations, expiry, and missed payments

Candidate previews, tailor offers, and payment windows expire after configured periods. When a payment window expires, the tailor may be released for another customer and the customer may need to create a new request.

Repeatedly booking tailors and allowing genuine payment windows to expire may trigger warnings, temporary booking cooldowns, risk review, or account restrictions. Provider outages and customer cancellation before booking should not count as payment abandonment.

Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the order stage, work already performed, dispatch activity, provider rules, and applicable consumer law. Any applicable amount will be shown or explained before a final decision.

7. Chat and safe communication

Order chat becomes available only after verified payment. Keep communication and payment inside TailorConnect so there is a usable order record and dispute evidence.

Messages containing phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, social handles, bank details, or requests for off-platform payment may be blocked. Repeated attempts can trigger a sending cooldown or account review. Harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, and unlawful content are prohibited.

Completed chats become read-only. A dispute chat may remain open while the matter is under review.

8. Issues, disputes, refunds, and releases

If an alteration materially differs from the accepted request, the customer should use “Report Issue” within the available review period and provide a truthful explanation. TailorConnect may preserve the order timeline, approved photos, payment state, and chat transcript as dispute evidence.

During an open dispute, escrow remains held. The current MVP resolution options are a full refund to the customer or release to the tailor after review. A provider refund is final only after provider confirmation.

See the Dispute Resolution Policy for the operational process. Nothing in that process removes a consumer’s non-waivable statutory rights.

9. Safety restrictions and account action

TailorConnect may limit, pause, investigate, or suspend accounts to protect users, comply with law, respond to fraud or safety concerns, enforce capacity rules, or preserve platform integrity. Serious safety or fraud events may result in immediate suspension.

We will use proportionate action where practical and provide a way to contact support. Some information may be preserved after account closure for disputes, fraud prevention, financial reconciliation, audits, or legal obligations.

10. Responsibility and limitation

Each user is responsible for the accuracy of their instructions, availability, conduct, and lawful use of the service. TailorConnect is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable care, but cannot guarantee that every provider will be available or that every order will be free from delay or disagreement.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited under Nigerian law.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by Nigerian law. We may update them as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated where required.

12. Contact

For service questions, contact tailorconnectng@gmail.com or visit the Contact page. Do not email passwords, OTPs, full bank numbers, or raw identity documents.
